Cassandra McColl
Cassandra is an NCCP Competition 1 gymnastics coach and Level 9 Ontario Provincial WAG Judge, and runs the day-to-day operations at EPIC. She has a background in management and graphic design, which she puts to good use at EPIC, ensuring a strong brand identity. Her athletic career has been incredibly diverse, from competitive figure skating, to soccer, to karate, plus varsity wrestling at the Provincial level in both high school and university. Beyond her passion for health & fitness, she most enjoys the psychological and philosophical aspects of sport, and loves helping athletes overcome difficult obstacles so that they can gain confidence in themselves. Cassandra also has a passion for musical theatre -- you might have seen her as Dorothy in the Capitol Theatre's production of The Wizard of Oz!
Emilie Beaulieu
Emilie is an NCCP Competition 2 gymnastics coach and Level 9 Ontario Provincial WAG Judge with over 18 years experience working in the gymnastics industry. She is a former Provincial gymnast. Her specialty is coaching flawless fundamentals in younger competitive athletes, and inspiring and guiding Optional level athletes towards success. Her attention to detail is unparalleled, and she is known for cultivating high standards among her athletes and coaches, while maintaining a fun and supportive atmosphere. She is responsible for the creation of the proprietary EPIC Level Systems and ensures consistent and quality programming and coaching for our gymnastics programs. Emilie was also a practicing Naturopathic Doctor with a special interest in sports medicine.
Malcolm McColl
Malcolm is an NCCP Competition 1 gymnastics coach, who has training in parkour through the Level Systems under leading expert Jason Paul. Although he came to gymnastics as an adult, he took to the sport instantly and excels at coaching. His passion is bars, and he has an incredible "giant"! Malcolm is the creator and innovator behind our hugely popular "Warrior" program, and spends much of his free time researching new techniques and drills for parkour, free running, and rock climbing. As a lifelong athlete, he has been involved in many sports, including the Junior National Dragon Boating Team, competing in Australia, and the UFC Fitness Competition, where he took first place in Men's Fitness. Malcolm has also been a team member of the Junior National Bridge team, competing in China and Thailand. He is passionate about nature, and is a Beekeeper and a Bonsai tree artist.
Stephanie Booth
Stephanie attended Ryerson Theatre School for Dance, as well as the 3 year professional contemporary dance program at the School of the Toronto Dance Theatre. She has been a dance educator for over 24 years at various facilities, such as: Premiere Dance Cobourg, GoodLife Fitness, Bodilogix, Ontario Early Years Centres and many schools in Northumberland. She has led the dance program at Trinity College School for over a decade. Stephanie is a certified ADAPT educator in Tap and Jazz, and a certified fitness instructor with Canfit pro as well as Zumba. She is one of the founding members of Northumberland Contemporary Dance Collective. For Stephanie, her greatest reward in life, other than spending time with her 3 children, comes from sharing her passion for dance, whether it’s with her students or a captive audience.
Ryan Fice
Sensei Ryan Fice is a 4th degree Shaolin-Do Kempo Karate Black Belt who has been training in the Kempo system for over 20 years. As an experienced member of multiple national Karate teams, Sensei Fice has had the privilege and honour of competing and coaching amongst the best of the best on a provincial, national and international level. These opportunities have led to many of Sensei Fice’s achievements including multiple world championship titles. Not only does Sensei Fice hold multiple world titles, but several of his students have gone on to achieve world champion status as well. Sensei Fice had the honour of being one of the youngest instructors to ever teach at the prestigious World Kobudo Federation event 2021. With his decades of experience, you can always find Sensei Fice hard at work passing along his knowledge and expertise to the next generation of up and coming karate students. And when Sensei Fice isn’t busy training his large group of dedicated students, you can find him networking and training across all disciplines and styles of martial arts to continuously learn and grow as a martial artist so he can be the best person, teacher and martial artist he can be.
Angela Fiorentino
Angela is an NCCP Level 2 Women's, Trampoline, and Men's gymnastics coach. Her philosophy is goal setting and consistency are key. She loves educating athletes on why we do drills, and what they will help them achieve if done correctly, thinking bigger picture. Her absolute favorite event is the uneven bars; she could easily coach bars for hours. Angela started gymnastics at the age of 7; she was quickly asked to join the competitive team. Angela was also a competitive dancer and baton twirler (Team Canada). She has always wanted to coach gymnastics; it's her passion! She coached competitively at Clarington and Pickering, helping both clubs achieve many titles at Provincials and Eastern Championships. Angela graduated from Fitness & Health Promotion at Durham College. When she's not at the gym, she's making core memories with her two little ones; she also loves running. Angela is looking forward to being part of the Epic family and helping develop quality gymnastics along the way!
Olivia Stevenson
Olivia is an NCCP Competition 1 gymnastics coach and ODP assessor. She is a provincial gymnast, having made it to the Provincial Championships for level 6! Her favourite gymnastics event is beam, and her favourite game to play in the gym is Fruit Salad. When she's not attending classes or working, she is a Trent University student in the Teacher Education Stream and enjoys hiking and taking her dog for walks.
Madi Gardinier
Madi is an NCCP Competition 1 gymnastics coach and ODP assessor. She is a current competitive gymnast, having competed at the provincial level and making it to the Ontario Championships! Her favourite events in the gym are floor and tumble track because she loves to tumble. Madi began coaching gymnastics because she enjoys the sport and loves helping athletes reach goals that they have set for themselves. In honour of her positivity in the gym, she has had an award named after her at the competitive banquet —the "Madison Gardinier Positivity Award". When Madi isn't in the gym, she is a student at Trent University in the Teacher Education Stream.
Katrina McColl
Katrina is an NCCP Competition 1 coach, with an Active Start specialty, and a graduate of St. Mary's Secondary School in Cobourg. She is a hard worker and helps with many aspects of the gym. She participated in Recreational gymnastics for many years, and currently participates in our Teen/Adult class, where she has mastered her back tuck! She enjoys gymnastics because it is fun, and she likes to challenge herself to achieve new skills. Outside of gymnastics, she loves doing Zumba, Yoga, Rugby and Soccer.
Sam Young
Samantha is relatively new to the gymnastics world, but she has completely fallen head over heels with everything this amazing sport has to offer! She is a NCCP Foundations trained coach, and has a passion for healthy lifestyle which is what brought her to EPIC. She believes in the importance of being active to ensure the best quality of life, and as the busy mom of two, this is something she instills in her own children, and tries to lead by example! Samantha brings a playful, creative energy to the gym which allows her athletes to excel under her supportive and safe guidance. As a lifelong athlete, and as a very active person by nature, Sam has played soccer, rugby and volleyball, as well as excelled in track & field and cross country. She also does yoga, hiking, and tree climbing. She is a lover of the great outdoors and all things natural, and when she's not at the gym you can find her tending her garden and taking care of her bees.
Gracie Gibson
Gracie is a St Mary’s graduate who will be attending Fleming in the Fall for the Physiotherapist Assistant program, and after wishes to pursue a degree in Kinesiology. She participated in recreational gymnastics for many years with Coach Cassandra as her coach! Her favourite gymnastics event is bars, and her favourite game to play in the gym is a fun and competitive game of Owl. Gracie was apart of the Track and Field team in high school; her favourite events were running long jump and 100m sprints. In her free time, Gracie enjoys fitness and spending time with friends and family.
Nolan Stevenson
Nolan is a St. Mary’s Secondary School graduate (2019) who now attends Trent University for education. He is a life-long competitive athlete in many different sports including hockey, lacrosse, and golf. He currently plays hockey in the Provincial Junior Hockey League. Nolan always enjoys learning and trying new sports/hobbies! In the gym, his favourite event is tumbl trak because of all the unique flips and tricks that are available to learn. In his free time, Nolan enjoys watching all different kinds of sports, and hanging out with friends.
Katie Flindall
Katie grew up in Kansas studying all forms of dance and artistic expression at ArtisTree school for the arts. She later went on to train at the National Ballet School's full-time program in Toronto, the Burklyn Ballet Theatre of Vermont and graduated from the Virginia School of the Arts. She has taught classical ballet to all levels and ages for over twenty years in Kansas, Vermont and locally at Premiere Dance Cobourg. Katie loves sharing the artistic and technical side of dance with her students and connecting with her community as a founding member of the Northumberland Contemporary Dance Collective. Katie is also a visual artist and owner of Moon House Art. She and her husband homeschool their four children in Cobourg.
Carolyn Chapple
Carolyn is an NCCP Competition 1 gymnastics coach and former Provincial athlete. She has been in the gymnastics field for 11 years, coaching many athletes to success at Provincial Championships. Well known in the gymnastics community for her firm-but-friendly coaching style, athletes love her bubbly personality and big smile. Carolyn is highly driven and ambitious -- by the age of 23, she had purchased a property and custom-built her own home with her husband. Carolyn is also a hair stylist. She has two sons, named Archer and Oakley, who you will often see at the gym!

Emma Khaimovich
Emma is a Grade 12 student at St. Mary’s Catholic Secondary School. She did gymnastics until age 11, and danced for 6+ years, including competitively. Her style specialties include Jazz, Acro, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Ballet, and Musical Theatre, but her favourites are Lyrical and Hip Hop. In her spare time, Emma enjoys rugby, hanging out with friends, and fitness.
James Schreiber
James Schreiber is an NCCP Foundations trained coach, and a Grade 12 student at Cobourg Collegiate Institute. He competed in gymnastics for a number of years, and has since returned to join the staff at Epic as an instructor. In his spare time, he enjoys writing and playing music, various sports and outdoor activities such as alpine skiing and soccer, and attending concerts with his friends.
Aurora Appelman
Aurora Appelman is a current provincial athlete on our optionals competitive team, competing in Level 6! She is also a coach-in-training, assisting with our camps. She is a current grade 9 student at TASS. She excels on her favourite gymnastics event, the floor, due to her background in competitive dance and cheerleading. Besides gymnastics, she is a talented artist, and loves ice cream, puppies, and popcorn!

Issy Gardiner
Issy is a Grade 9 student at St. Mary's Catholic Secondary School. She is also a member of EPIC's Xcel Silver competitive gymnastics team. She has a competitive dance background, bringing that knowledge to her coaching.
Grace Thompson
Grace Thompson is a grade 9 student at CCI. She is also a current provincial athlete and member of our optionals (Level 6+) team! She is a fantastic athlete, who enjoys bars and floor the most. She loves doing gymnastics because she likes the feeling of getting something you have been working on. Her favourite game to play at the gym is Owl. Her favourite thing about EPIC is that everyone is very kind.
Cathy Cornall
Cathy is the Office Manager at EPIC, and is typically the face you'll see in the front office most days. She keeps everything running smoothly and ensures the facility is tidy. With a background in running a hugely successful business, her powerful organizational skills and fastidious attention to detail are a huge asset at EPIC! Cathy is also Coach Cassandra and Coach Carolyn's mom! She is a fantastic athlete in her own right, and has been a fitness enthusiast all her life, participating in volleyball, basketball, various bootcamps & kettlebell training, and yoga.
Dave Cornall
Dave Cornall--or, as he prefers to call himself, "King Boss"--is a behind-the-scenes wizard here at EPIC. You will often catch him working the front desk, where he loves to joke around and pull pranks! Dave is the mind behind the design of the EPIC facility, and there is not a square inch of EPIC that he has not spent many long hours thinking about. As a previous business owner, he lends his immeasurable wisdom in helping to make EPIC a positive, thriving space.
